As is universally known, the number 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe and Everything. This number was calculated by a giant supercomputer over a period of 50 million years. Unfortunately no one knows what the question was. Therefore, in order to calculate the Ultimate Question, a special computer the size of a small planet and using organic components was created and named DRS.
The DRS calculated the Ultimate Question to be “What should be the ultimate voter turnout?”. When asked how it came to this solution, the DRS replied: “The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought ’42 will do’. I typed it out. End of story.” The DRS described its choice as ‘a completely ordinary number, a number not just divisible by two but also six and seven. In fact it’s the sort of number that you could without any fear introduce to your parents’.
Isn’t that from the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy? You mean that our DRS read the book:)) Nice satiric post
It is indeed. I wish DRS had read the book! However, I don’t think reading appears amongst their list of hobbies.
That’s what i thought too..I think pulling finger nails is their main hobby :)
I see journalists, analysts and bloggers try to read into each party’s results instead of admitting they are a joke and just ordinary numbers. End of story. I understand their frustration and the fact it’s how some of them make a living, but instead of analysing the parties’ results as in a democracy, they should perhaps try to answer why the regime chose those very results and why it decided to maintain the status-quo. Nobody gave an answer so far.
Hillary’s happy and proud of us so we should all celebrate.
Of course it’s a sinister joke. Bloody Hilary would be well advised to shut up – can’t stand the way she speaks in that nosy accent. Why are all those foreign countries contgratulating Algeria for this joke? Nobody cares about other countries elections, what’s so special about ours?
Because Algeria’s an important country in an important region and is America’s major security partner? Seriously, you don’t want them to congratulate the Greeks on their legislative cul-de-sac?!
